THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO HELP ENSURE THAT OUR SILENT AUCTION IS A HUGE SUCCESS THIS YEAR!
Volunteer on a silent auction planning committee to gather auction items, raise money, pick up auction items, and help get people involved.
Through the years, The Bethesda Soccer Club Scholarship Fund has been specifically dedicated to providing financial support to local youth who would ordinarily not have the opportunity to play travel soccer. The club regularly receives over 150 applications for our Scholarship program. While the club provides over $175,000 in scholarships to players and their families, there is still room for improvement. The average scholarship awarded only covers approximately 40% of players' annual club dues.

ABOUT THE BETHESDA SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
The Bethesda Soccer Club (BSC) was established in 1979 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The club proudly serves over 1,100 boys and girls across 80 teams, starting with our juniors program at age four and continuing through our high school seniors.
BSC provides an environment that promotes disciplined young leaders and athletes with lifelong skills while offering world-class soccer education and competition. While the club’s most recognizable moments may be its national championships and other outstanding on-field performances, its most important contributions could be the opportunities it provides its scholarship athletes every season.
Through the years, the BSC scholarship fund has been specifically dedicated to providing financial support to local youth who would ordinarily not have the opportunity to play travel soccer. Many of our scholarship athletes' BSC practices and games offer a significant, scheduled after-school activity that encourages them to be involved and productive community members. Time spent with coaches and fellow players who value them affords the scholarship athlete a chance to excel as a leader and teammate while providing a physical fitness outlet. For some, their BSC experience becomes an essential element of their profile on the path to college.

We can all work together to positively impact these troubling trends. We hope that we can fully endow the Scholarship Fund with the money raised from our BSC Scholarship Silent Auction. This will allow even more deserving players to have a productive after-school activity, be part of a competitive team, and play the beautiful game of soccer.
