Our Bethesda MLS NEXT (U13-U19) Boys program is one of the top boy's programs in the United States. For the past ten years, our club has consistently placed at the top of the United States Soccer Development Academy and MLS Next. Over 200 Bethesda Academy players have gone on to play college soccer and our club has had 30 players play professional soccer in the United States, Germany, England, the Netherlands, and Italy.

Tryouts and Evaluations are conducted throughout the season on a rolling basis. If you are interested in trying out for a team, please contact Brett Colton at bcolton@bethesdasoccer.org (for ages U13-U14) or Derek Biss at dbiss@bethesdasoccer.org (for ages U15 and above).
To be evaluated from U15 and up, you need to email the following to Director Derek Biss before being invited out.
- 15 uninterrupted minutes of game film. Please don't send highlights. Game footage Information needed: Player's Team Name, Jersey Number, Team Color, Opponents Team Name, and Team Color.
- Full Name, Date of Birth, and Current Club

Who oversees the Bethesda MLS NEXT program?
The Academy/MLS Next Program is run by our Older Boys Director Derek Biss.
How many days per week will teams train?
Bethesda Academy teams will train a total of 4 days per week. Players are expected to attend all practices to be considered for competition in games.
How many games are played, and how long is the season?

What about college exposure?
Bethesda SC players undoubtedly receive the best college exposure of any club in the country, with players attending some of the top local and national Showcase events in the country, including our own Bethesda Premier Cup. Bethesda Soccer Club has a long and storied history of creating a pathway for our players to college, which you can read more about here.
In addition, Bethesda SC partners with SportsRecruits, a college recruiting software that former college athletes design for the next generation of players. All BSC U15-U19 players will receive a complimentary SportsRecruits account with full access to their software, including resources, webinars, and messaging.

How many bethesda sc players have gone on to division I college programs?
Over the past 20 years, Bethesda SC has had over 500 players go on to play Division I soccer and many other players going on to play in Division II and Division III. How often are clubs required to travel?
Academy clubs can expect 15-20 away matches in a given season, some requiring overnight travel. Exact travel distances will vary depending on their geographic proximity to their opponents and Academy events.
Does bethesda sc offer scholarships?
Yes. Bethesda Soccer Club is one of the few travel soccer clubs nationwide that offers need-based scholarships to players to help offset registration fees and costs. To learn more about our Scholarship Program and critical deadlines, click here.
Where will teams train?
Currently, the Academy teams divide their practice time between Richard Montgomery High School and Wootton High School. Both sites are turf, allowing our teams to train even during inclement weather.
